Job Description:
The City of Beeville is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Municipal Golf Course Clerk to join our team. This position plays a key role in creating a welcoming environment for all golf course patrons by providing excellent customer service, handling sales transactions, managing tee times and rentals, and maintaining a clean and inviting Golf Shop. Under general supervision, the Municipal Golf Course Clerk supports the daily operations of the municipal golf course. Responsibilities include assisting customers, processing sales, scheduling tee times, selling merchandise, and serving beverages, including beer. TABC certification is required for this role.
Provide excellent customer service and assistance to all patrons
Promote golf course programs for individuals, groups, and the community
Organize duties for individual shifts with minimal supervision
Perform minor maintenance and keep the Golf Shop clean, organized, and visually appealing
Answer inbound calls and assist with customer inquiries
Process transactions for merchandise, cart rentals, and other services
Interact professionally with the public and various City offices
Serve beverages, including beer, in accordance with TABC regulations
Monitor alcohol consumption to ensure responsible use
Handle and store alcoholic beverages appropriately
Maintain accurate records of sales, reservations, and inventory
Perform other duties as assigned
Assist with stocking and inventory of merchandise and beverages
Support event or tournament operations as needed
Help maintain the outdoor cleanliness of the clubhouse entrance and cart staging area
Regular and consistent attendance is required
Must be available to work evening shifts
Education & Experience:
Minimum age of 18 years required
Customer service or cash handling experience preferred
Licenses & Certifications:
Must obtain and maintain TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) certification via 2 Cool Serving
Valid Texas Driver’s License preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to operate basic office equipment (e.g., copier, fax machine)
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
Strong oral and written communication skills
Reliable spelling, data entry, and recordkeeping abilities
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Comfortable working in a public-facing role
