Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities of this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.

Under general supervision, to provide high quality customer service to the golfing public; perform assigned golf operational activities; responsible to operate cash register to sell daily passes, and cart rentals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides excellent customer service and assistance to all patrons;
  • Promotes Golf Course programs to meet needs of various individuals, groups and the community. Organizes duties for individual shift with minimal supervision. 
  • Minor maintenance and cleaning (pro shop, out area, and restrooms)
  • Take care of inbound calls
  • Closing clerk will retrieve all Flags
  • Ability to interact with the public and various City offices. Must establish and maintain effective working relationship with employees and public.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

           ESSENTIAL WORK HABIT:

 •  Regular and consistent attendance in a workplace environment.

  • MUST BE AVAILABLE TO WORK EVENING SHIFTS

QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, Skills and Abilities:

  • Operate standard office equipment including copier and fax
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must demonstrate proficiency in both oral and written communication with accurate spelling and data entry
  • Ability to prepare records, reports and other documents neatly and accurately
  • Speak and write clearly and effectively
  • Work well with others.

MINIMUM REQUIRES FOR EMPLOYMENT

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATION

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Valid TX Driver’s License or available alternate means of transportation.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background investigation
  • EXPECTATIONS:

  • To come to work on time and be prepared to work.
  • To provide excellent customer service.

Physical Requirements:

  • Working conditions are primarily outside with frequent exposure to inclement weather
  • Ability to move about an office or building.  Ability to transport self from building to building and to attend various functions and meetings at other sites either within or outside the City.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity with or without reasonable accommodation, which permits the employee to operate a computer, telephone and related equipment.
